Squize is a parental-control companion for Android. Parents choose which apps to monitor, set daily time budgets, and pick the subjects kids should practice. When a monitored app hits its limit, Squize launches short educational challenges. Kids complete them to earn more screen time — turning scroll breaks into learning sprints.

Squize is built for children roughly ages 2–8, with three age bands that shape challenge difficulty:

• 2–4: Letter & number recognition, tracing, counting, colors, shapes, and simple matching
• 5–6: Phonics, early math, logic puzzles, animal riddles, and beginner vocabulary
• 7–8: Harder math, clock reading, memory games, animal vocabulary, and Lingo language practice

Each child profile has its own age band, and challenge difficulty adapts as they improve.

Squize requires Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later and works on phones and tablets. Core monitoring uses Android's Usage Access and Display over other apps permissions. An iOS version is on our roadmap.

The app UI and challenges are available in English and Hebrew. Each child profile can use its own language. The Lingo category lets older kids practice vocabulary in English, Hebrew, or Spanish.

When a monitored app hits its daily budget, Squize shows a challenge screen. Your child must complete the required number of challenges correctly (you can set how many in Settings) to unlock access again. Wrong answers don't count toward the unlock — they can try again until they get it right.

No. Squize uses Usage Access and a full-screen overlay to hand off to challenges when time runs out. The monitored app stays blocked until the unlock requirement is met. As a parent, you can pause monitoring or adjust limits anytime from Settings or the Insights dashboard.

You choose which apps to monitor during setup — commonly YouTube, TikTok, Roblox, Instagram, Snapchat, Chrome, and games. You can add or remove apps anytime. Each child profile can have its own monitored-app list and time limits.

Child Mode is a premium feature that turns the device into a kid-safe home screen. Only apps you approve appear, and Squize stays in control of screen-time limits. It's ideal for younger children or shared family tablets.

Squize offers six practice categories. Parents choose which ones appear in each child's rotation:

• Letters: Recognition, tracing, phonics, and early reading
• Numbers: Counting, number recognition, tracing, and comparisons
• Math: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions
• Logic: Patterns, shadows, clocks, memory pairs, and "what doesn't belong"
• Animals: Names, sounds, riddles, and vocabulary by age
• Lingo: Vocabulary practice in English, Hebrew, or Spanish

Hundreds of challenges adapt to each child's age band and mastery level.

Yes. In each child profile's settings you enable or disable practice categories (letters, numbers, math, logic, animals, lingo). Squize only serves challenges from the categories you turn on.

Yes. Premium subscribers can create unlimited child profiles. Each profile has its own age band, language, avatar, monitored apps, time limits, and practice-category preferences.

Yes. The Insights dashboard shows accuracy by category, mastery tiers, XP and levels (premium), streaks, and monitored-app usage. On the same device, data is stored locally. With optional Connect to Parent, a parent phone can view a child's activity in real time after pairing with a six-digit code.

Both are optional cloud features — core screen-time limits and challenges work without them.

• Stay in the Loop: Register an email or Google account to receive progress updates and news from Squize.
• Connect to Parent: Link a parent device and child device with a pairing code to sync profiles, rules, and daily activity for remote Insights.

Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout (typically around $5.99/month or $44.99/year in the US) and may vary by region. All premium features — app monitoring, challenges, Insights, Child Mode, and unlimited profiles — require an active subscription.

Cancel anytime through your Google Play subscription settings. There are no long-term contracts — cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep access until the current billing period ends. For billing help, email support@squize.app or use our contact page.

By default, learning and usage data stays on your device. Challenge history, profiles, and app limits are stored locally. Squize only syncs data to our servers if you opt in to Stay in the Loop or Connect to Parent. Subscription status is verified through RevenueCat and Google Play — we never see payment card details.

Without optional cloud features, your child's challenge results and usage stats are not uploaded. If you enable pairing or sign up for updates, selected data (profiles, rules, daily activity) syncs through secure Firebase storage for the features you chose.
